The Counseling Midwife provides Traditional Midwifery met with authenticity & passion while providing therapeutic & ancestral care. We at The Counseling Midwife believe that sovereignty is your birthright to birth right. What that means is that you are the vital heartbeat and essential in the decisions of the autonomy of your body, your birth and your family. We honor your right to make the best decisions for you and your family in the essence of co-care. Midwives have traditionally cared for families throughout their life cycle which include menarche, birth, menopause and even death. What makes The Counseling Midwife unique is that we provide emotional, spiritual and health counseling and education for the family and the community, and not just the pregnant person while serving those in the margins of “normal pregnancy and birth.” Overall we encourage you to also take responsibility of your own care by doing your own research and ask as many questions as needed for you to feel comfortable in your decision, experience and birth ceremony. You deserve intentional comprehensive therapeutic care.
Currently I can provide full-spectrum doula care. In summer of 2024 I will be providing midwifery care.
