My name is Kyla Carlos owner of Serene Birth Services, I am a DONA trained Birth Doula and mother of three children with one on the way!

I am a breastfeeding advocate, my passion for breastfeeding comes from my personal experience with my three. I breastfed my children well past the age of two and tandem nursed my two youngest who are only 14 months apart.

My background

is in childcare specifically infant and toddlers, I was a Lead Teacher for many years and went on to open a family home daycare.

Becoming a birth worker has always been a dream of mine, October 2018 I decided to attain that goal and enter the field as a Birth Doula.

I started my birth work journey as “Swaz The Doula” because of my work expanding I have chosen a business name that encompasses all services I offer, Serene Birthing Services. Serene means calm, peaceful, and untroubled; tranquil which is the type of energy I share with everyone I encounter.

I provide my clients with on-going care by being available to answer any questions they may have about routine medical care, question prep for prenatal doctor appointments and what to expect for different birth routes. One of my main service objectives is to provide my clients with evidence based research to empower them to advocate for themselves during the pregnancy, labor & delivery and their postpartum journey.

It is a honor and pleasure to serve my clients in this vulnerable and intimate setting. I love assisting families with navigating through this exciting yet scary time! I’m here to comfort, encourage, support all loved ones.
